Job summary

Edmonds Eye MD in Edmonds, WA, is seeking an Ophthalmic Technician to support exams and patient care in a fast-paced ophthalmic clinic.

You will take medical histories, perform workups and diagnostic exams, assist with instruction on eye care, maintain records, and help triage calls while ensuring HIPAA compliance.

Qualifications

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and G-Suite products.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication.
  • Drive for exemplary customer service.
  • Maintain and follow HIPAA procedures and policies.

Responsibilities

  • Open and close exam lanes and ensure all supplies are stocked.
  • Communicate patient flow with the team to keep the schedules running on time.
  • Maintain a clean and tidy work environment and waiting area for patients.
  • Take patients' medical histories, perform workups, and perform ophthalmic diagnostic exams to obtain the information needed for diagnosis.
  • Help instruct the patient in the care and treatment of eye conditions.
  • Ensure all medical records are accurate and complete.
  • Triage phone calls from patients and outside contacts.
  • Maintain flexibility and perform other duties as required.
