Job summary

Northwest Eye Surgeons is seeking an Ophthalmic Technician to join our fast-paced ophthalmic team. The ideal candidate will support physicians, perform testing, document findings, and help deliver exceptional patient care.

You will work with advanced diagnostic equipment, contribute to efficient patient flow, and participate in professional growth through certifications and ongoing training. We offer competitive pay and comprehensive benefits, including PTO and 401(k).

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Strong computer skills including MS Office and Google Workspace.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize in a busy clinical setting.
• Professional demeanor and patient confidentiality.
• Team-oriented mindset and willingness to assist where needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive patient workups and ophthalmic testing.
• Accurately document examination findings, assessments, and treatment plans.
• Assist ophthalmologists during examinations, procedures, and in-office laser treatments.
• Obtain and document patient medical histories.
• Educate patients regarding diagnoses, medications, and treatment recommendations.
• Ensure patients understand physician instructions and follow-up care.
• Maintain efficient patient flow and communicate appointment status.
• Administer ophthalmic medications as directed.
• Sterilize instruments and maintain ophthalmic equipment.
• Triage patient calls according to clinical protocols.
• Assist patients with contact lens insertion and removal.

Position Summary:

As an Ophthalmic Technician, you will play a critical role in supporting physicians, ensuring efficient patient flow, and delivering an exceptional patient experience. The ideal candidate possesses strong clinical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to effectively communicate with both patients and providers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform comprehensive patient workups and ophthalmic testing
• Accurately document examination findings, assessments, and treatment plans
• Assist ophthalmologists during examinations, procedures, and in-office laser treatments
