Job summary

ZEISS in the United States is seeking a Technical Support Engineer to deliver advanced support for VERACITY and cataract products. You will train surgeons and field teams, troubleshoot complex issues, and partner with VERACITY development and IT for escalations.

This role requires strong problem solving, electronics, optics, and networking knowledge; you will mentor junior staff, review performance data, and help shape service documentation. Benefits include medical, vision, dental, and 401k.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in Engineering or Sciences or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Minimum of four (4) years of experience as a Technical Support Engineer or equivalent technical experience.
• A+ and Net+ certification strongly desired.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Train, troubleshoot and educate surgeons and ZEISS teams about VERACITY cataract products.
• Respond to complex technical questions from Field Service Engineers, Affiliates and Distributors, Sales, Customer Service, Parts and customers.
• Communicate via telephone, fax, email; on-site visits as needed.
• Review performance trending reports and share insights to other departments on a monthly basis.
• Maintain and improve technical knowledge of ZEISS products and services.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with product and quality teams to address issues.
• Mentor Technical Support Representatives.
• Participate in onboarding of new hires and policy setting.
• Adhere to safety standards and participate in special projects as delegated.
