Job summary

ZEISS Meditec Inc. in the United States seeks a Surgical Application Specialist to manage territory, deliver on-site trainings, and support clinicians with the ZEISS Surgical Suite to optimize patient outcomes and workflow.

The role requires 5+ years in ophthalmic surgery, deep cataract/IOL knowledge, credentialing, excellent communication and teaching skills, and willingness to travel overnight. You will train physicians and staff, coordinate with sales and marketing, and uphold GMP/ISO

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in an ophthalmic surgical setting.
• In-depth knowledge of cataract surgery and IOL calculations.
• Must hold industry standard credentialing.
• Strong communication and teaching abilities for diverse customers.
• Proficient with MS Office and basic computer skills.
• Willing to travel overnight and occasional weekends.

Responsibilities

• Manage territory by scheduling on-site trainings and travel arrangements.
• Deliver high-level training for physicians and staff in device operation.
• Conduct follow-up visits and provide feedback to sales teams.
• Maintain knowledge of ZEISS Surgical Suite and ophthalmic procedures.
• Coordinate on-site trainings across the United States and border territories.
• Develop training materials and present lectures at events.
• Provide sales support and identify leads from clinical needs.
• Ensure GMP/ISO compliance in procedures.
