Job summary

ChristianaCare is hiring a full-time Ophthalmic Technician II in Wilmington, DE. The role provides advanced clinical support to Ophthalmologists and Residents, performing specialized diagnostic testing and imaging, preparing patients, and assisting with procedures across ambulatory and inpatient settings.

This position also supports neuro-ophthalmology two days per week. The schedule is Monday–Friday, with a split between Wilmington and Newark, DE.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• IJCAHPO certification required or obtain within 1 year of hire.
• BLS certification from American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Perform advanced ophthalmic testing and imaging.
• Obtain patient histories and prepare patients for examinations.
• Assist with hospital-based and office procedures.
• Administer ophthalmic medications and support emergency/inpatient consults.
• Maintain ophthalmic equipment and ensure high-quality patient care.
