Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Basic computer literacy.
• Willing to travel to other offices occasionally.
• Able to walk/stand for eight hours.
• Two years’ experience in a multi-specialty clinic preferred.
• COA/OSC/COT certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and establish rapport.
• Document chief complaints and ocular findings per guidelines.
• Perform pre-exam testing (visual acuity, tonometry, fields, etc.).
• Assist ophthalmologist/optometrist in exams and procedures.
• Input data into the Electronic Health Record.
• Maintain inventory and clean/sterilize instruments.
• Educate patients on medications and pre/post-op care.
• Open/close exam lanes and ensure equipment is ready.
