Job summary

SEES Group, LLC seeks an Ophthalmic Technician I to support the clinical team with high-quality patient care and diagnostic testing. The role requires excellent customer service, strong communication, and the ability to follow precise protocols while protecting patient confidentiality.

Responsibilities include taking patient history, measuring visual acuity and intraocular pressure, administering eye drops, and preparing patients for procedures.

Qualifications

  • Associate or bachelor's degree in healthcare administration or related field preferred.
  • 2–3 years of ophthalmic/optometric technician experience preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow precise protocols.

Responsibilities

  • Obtain and document comprehensive patient history.
  • Follow office workup protocols to support efficient patient flow.
  • Determine visual acuity and perform automated refraction.
  • Administer eye drops, ointments, and irrigating solutions as prescribed.
  • Measure intraocular pressure (tonometry) accurately and safely.
  • Prepare patients for pre-operative procedures as directed.
  • Maintain and calibrate ophthalmic equipment and instruments.
  • Enter data into the EMR and provide direct patient services.
  • Recognize patient symptoms or test inconsistencies and report findings.
  • Maintain HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality.
  • Travel to various office locations as required.

Education
