Job summary

AVP•SEES Group seeks an Ophthalmic Technician I to support the clinical team in delivering high-quality patient care and assisting with diagnostic testing. The role requires excellent customer service, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to work independently within scope of practice.

The ideal candidate has 2–3 years of ophthalmic or optometric technician experience, travel between multiple locations, and a commitment to patient confidentiality while maintaining top service standards.

Qualifications

• Associate or bachelor’s degree preferred in healthcare.
• 2–3 years ophthalmic or optometric technician experience preferred.
• Ability to travel between multiple locations as needed.

Responsibilities

• Obtain and document patient history.
• Follow office workup protocols to support efficient patient flow.
• Determine visual acuity and perform automated refraction.
• Administer eye drops, ointments, and irrigating solutions as prescribed.
• Measure intraocular pressure (tonometry) accurately.
• Enter data into EMR and provide direct patient services.
