Job summary

EyeCare Partners is seeking an Ophthalmic Technician to assist ophthalmologists by performing initial testing and preparing patients for exams. You will use specialized equipment to gather data and help ensure smooth clinic flow.

The role requires strong patient-care skills, HIPAA compliance, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Travel to multiple offices may be required, and a full benefits package is provided.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least 1 year of related experience and/or training.
• COA or COT certification preferred but not required.
• Proficiency with EMR systems and standard office software.
• Strong patient-care and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and facilitate clinic flow with a professional attitude.
• Assist with testing and preparation for ophthalmic exams.
• Record patient data in the EMR accurately and Thoroughly.
• Perform tests such as dilation, refraction, pressures, visual fields, OCT, GDX, IOL Master, auto refractor and topography.
• Maintain preparation and cleanliness of exam rooms and equipment.
