Job summary

SEES Management Solutions seeks an Ophthalmic Technician I to support the clinical team with high-quality patient care and diagnostic testing. The role requires excellent customer service, strong communication, and independent decision-making within the scope of duties.

The position involves travel to multiple office locations and maintaining patient confidentiality per HIPAA and company policies. A detail-oriented, adaptable candidate with healthcare experience is ideal.

Qualifications

• Associate or bachelor’s degree preferred in healthcare-related field.
• 2–3 years of ophthalmic/optometric technician experience preferred.
• Willingness to travel between multiple locations.

Responsibilities

• Obtain and document comprehensive patient history with accuracy.
• Follow office workup protocols to support patient flow and physician needs.
• Determine visual acuity and perform automated refraction.
• Administer eye drops, ointments, and irrigating solutions as prescribed.
• Measure intraocular pressure (tonometry) accurately.
• Prepare patients for pre-operative procedures.
• Maintain and calibrate ophthalmic equipment and instruments.
• Enter data into the EMR and provide direct patient services.
• Report any test inconsistencies to medical staff.
• Maintain HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality.
