Job summary

AVP•SEES Group is seeking an Ophthalmic Technician I to support ophthalmologists and optometrists in delivering high‑quality patient care. The role includes performing eye exams, refractions, pupillary checks, and intraocular pressure measurements, with on‑site training and paid certifications for career growth.

Candidate should have a High School diploma or GED (associate degree preferred) and at least 2 years in eye care, with flexibility to travel to various office locations and lift up to 70

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; associate degree preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in eye care.
• Must be able to travel between offices and lift up to 70 lbs.
• Demonstrated confidentiality and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Obtain and document patient history
• Follow office workup protocols
• Determine visual acuity
• Perform automated refraction
• Administer eye drops, ointments, and irrigating solutions as ordered
• Enter data into EMR and provide patient services
• Measure intraocular pressure (tonometry)
• Pre-operative patient preparation
• Maintain equipment and instruments
