ZEISS Meditec Inc. seeks a Surgical Application Specialist to train customers on the Zeiss Surgical Suite. You will manage a US territory, provide advanced on-site training for physicians and staff, and troubleshoot complex cases to ensure optimal product use and patient outcomes.

Role requires 5+ years in ophthalmic surgery, strong teaching skills, and willingness to travel overnight and on weekends. Support sales and collaborate with marketing and service teams.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years in ophthalmic surgical setting or equivalent.
• In-depth knowledge of cataract surgery and IOL calculations.
• Must hold industry standard credentialing.
• Strong communication and teaching abilities for surgical customers.
• Ability to travel overnight and occasional weekends.
• Well organized, able to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Efficiently manage territory by contacting customers and scheduling training sessions.
• Deliver tailored training for physicians and staff on device operation.
• Conduct follow-up visits and provide feedback to management and sales teams.
• Maintain current knowledge of Zeiss Surgical Suite and related devices.
• Attend and support trade shows, conferences, and seminars as needed.
• Serve as customer subject matter expert on Surgical Suite issues.
