Job summary

ZEISS is seeking a Surgical Application Specialist to manage US territory by delivering on-site trainings and clinical support for the ZEISS Surgical Suite. You will travel to customer sites, train physicians and staff, and help optimize surgical workflows with ZEISS instruments.

The role requires 5+ years in ophthalmic surgery, strong teaching skills, and excellent communication. Travel, weekend availability, and a professional customer-focused approach are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years in an ophthalmic surgical setting or equivalent.
• Industry standard credentialing is required.
• Strong communication and teaching abilities for surgeons and staff.
• Professional demeanor; ability to manage challenging situations.

Responsibilities

• Independently contact customers, schedule on-site trainings and travel as needed.
• Deliver high-level training for physicians and staff on medical device operation.
• Conduct follow-up visits and monitor customer commitment to ZEISS Surgical Suite.
• Maintain up-to-date product knowledge and coordinate with marketing/sales teams.
• Attend trade shows and conferences; represent ZEISS professionally.
• Provide sales support and develop training content for conventions.
