Job summary

ZEISS Meditec Inc. is seeking a Surgical Application Specialist to manage a US territory and provide training on the ZEISS Surgical Suite. The role focuses on advancing clinical applications, supporting physicians and staff, and driving optimal use of the portfolio to improve patient outcomes.

The SAS will travel for on-site trainings, conduct data collection reviews, and support conferences. Strong ophthalmic knowledge, teaching ability, and excellent communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years of experience in an ophthalmic surgical setting or comparable experience.
• Effective communication skills (written & verbal) and teaching ability to direct customers in a surgical environment.
• Must travel overnight and work occasional weekends.
• Must be able to obtain sufficient credit to cover incurred business expenses; reimbursement on expense reports.

Responsibilities

• Efficiently manage territory by independently contacting customers and scheduling on-site trainings.
• Deliver high level, tailored training for physicians and staff in device operation and clinical applications.
• Conduct follow-up visits and monitor customer commitment; provide feedback to management and sales teams.
• Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of surgical ophthalmic industry and competitive devices.
• Manage on-site trainings across the United States with travel arrangements as needed.
• Represent ZEISS in a professional and courteous manner.
• Maintain and update product knowledge on all ZEISS Surgical Suite instruments.
• Provide sales support as needed.
