Job summary

SightMD is seeking a Certified Surgical Technician for a temporary 3–6 month assignment in Shirley, NY. The CST will assist the surgical team, maintain sterile technique, and ensure patient safety in a high-volume ambulatory surgery center.

Responsibilities include preparing the OR, passing instruments, maintaining sterile fields, documenting intraoperative activities, and assisting with instrument processing. Requires CST certification, BLS, and strong communication in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Current BLS certification or obtain within 6 months of employment.
• Certified Surgical Technician (CST) Certification from an accredited school.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a high-stress environment.

Responsibilities

• Preoperative: Prepare operating rooms with instruments, equipment and sterile supplies.
• Ensure proper functioning of instruments and equipment prior to procedures.
• Assist with patient positioning and sterile field setup.
• Verify patient and procedure information with the surgical team.
