Job summary

American Vision Partners is seeking a Surgical Technologist to support ophthalmology operating rooms across locations. The role requires CST certification, and graduates of accredited technologist programs are preferred. Expect a fast-paced environment with high volume and travel to partner sites as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Graduate of an accredited surgical technologist program.
• CST certification required.
• Experience in a surgical environment; ophthalmology experience is a plus.
• Detail oriented, reliable, and able to multi-task.
• Flexible schedule Monday–Friday; travel to other locations may be required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare operating room for surgery with equipment and supplies.
• Assist with washing, shaving and disinfecting the surgical site.
• Maintain sterile field and technique throughout procedures.
• Assist with draping, passing instruments, sutures and supplies.
• Support the surgeon by anticipating needs and ensuring availability of instruments.
• Help care for specimens and wound dressings.
• Assist patient transfer to and from the operating room.
• Support front desk with clerical tasks as needed.
