Job summary

CorrectVision Laser Institute in South Florida is seeking a Surgical Coordinator to manage the patient experience from recommendation through postoperative follow-up. You will educate patients on surgical options, coordinate scheduling and finances, and ensure a seamless ophthalmology workflow.

The role requires Spanish fluency, strong counseling and organizational skills, and willingness to travel between Weston and Aventura locations. Competitive benefits are offered.

Qualifications

• Ophthalmology experience preferred.
• Surgical coordination experience preferred.
• Knowledge of cataract surgery and premium IOLs preferred.
• Spanish speaking is required.
• Willing to travel between Weston and Aventura locations.

Responsibilities

• Meet with patients after physician recommendation to review the process.
• Educate patients on surgical options, costs, and financial responsibility.
• Counsel cataract patients on lens options and refractive alternatives.
• Schedule procedures and coordinate dates, testing, and clearances.
• Maintain surgical schedules and communicate instructions clearly.
• Follow up with patients and manage cancellations or rescheduling.
• Document all patient interactions in the EMR and ensure confidentiality.
