Job summary

AVPSEES Group seeks a diligent Surgery Counselor to coordinate all aspects of surgical scheduling for an ophthalmology practice. You will serve as the clinical liaison among patients, surgeons, and facilities, handling pre-op and post-op appointments, authorizations, and patient education.

Responsibilities include scheduling accuracy, informing patients of dates and preparations, managing insurance verifications, and maintaining HIPAA-compliant records while ensuring a positive patient

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years of surgical scheduling experience in a healthcare setting.
• COA preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and schedule surgeries with provider and facility alignment.
• Communicate surgery dates, instructions, and pre/post-operative care to patients.
• Secure insurance authorizations and verify coverage.
• Ensure pre-operative requirements and testing are completed.
• Provide detailed financial information regarding costs and payment plans.
