South Jersey Eye Physicians, Moorestown Township, NJ, part of Prism Vision Group, is seeking an experienced Surgical Scheduler to coordinate ophthalmic procedures. This on-site role interfaces with physicians, staff, and facilities to ensure accurate scheduling, pre-op testing, and patient liaison responsibilities.

Ideal candidates have 4+ years in healthcare scheduling, strong English communication, and proficiency with MS Office and EMR systems.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Graduate or GED; Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline highly preferred.
• Experience: 4+ years in a healthcare setting required.
• Knowledge/Skills: strong English communication, ability to use MS Office and EMR systems, and customer service proficiency.

Responsabilités

• Schedule and complete surgical scheduling and registration for patients.
• Meet office surgical volume metrics and goals.
• Obtain preauthorization of procedures from insurers.
• Coordinate paperwork and electronic records; maintain patient charts.
• Verify insurance information and benefits; manage referrals.
• Organize patient charts and collect information for upcoming procedures.
• Schedule pre-op visits with PCP, labs, etc.; document in scheduling systems.
• Counsel patients on cataract surgery, lens implants, YAG lasers, and related procedures.
• Order products needed for surgery as directed by the physician.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and ensure smooth scheduling with all parties.
