Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on instruction in ophthalmic terminology, exam documentation, EHR workflows, clinic operations, and physician-specific preferences.
• Serve as a mentor and educational resource for new and existing scribes.
• Assess trainee progress and provide constructive feedback to ensure competency and confidence.
• Identify ongoing educational needs and implement training opportunities to support professional growth.
• Maintain training materials, resources, and competency checklists.
• Assist with ophthalmic technician training, cross-training, and skills development initiatives.
