Midwest Vision Partners is seeking an Ophthalmic Scribe to support ophthalmologists with patient documentation and minor in-office procedures in a fast-paced clinical setting in Southfield, MI.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver’s license, and strong computer skills with 40+ WPM typing. EMR experience and knowledge of medical terminology are preferred for this entry-level position.

Qualifikationen

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver’s license to drive as needed.
• Typing 40+ WPM and solid computer skills.

Aufgaben

• Bring patients to and from exam rooms.
• Perform detailed documentation of patient workups in the EMR.
• Complete patient encounter forms based on diagnosis.
• Apply eye drops for anesthesia, dilation, or medications.
• Assist physician at chair-side and administer treatment as ordered.
• Review care instructions with patients.
• Record detailed patient history including medical history and chief complaint.
• Check visual acuity and perform standard eye tests.
• Examine eyes for abnormalities and perform tests (A-scan, B-scan, fundus photos, etc.).
• Prepare exam rooms for treatment and maintain HIPAA confidentiality.
