Job summary

True Eye Experts of Lutz, part of TeamVision with EssilorLuxottica, is seeking an ophthalmic scribe to accompany the optometrist in the exam room and document patient findings in the EHR.

The role supports efficient exam flow, records medical findings, and coordinates with technicians while maintaining patient confidentiality and professional conduct in a fast-paced ophthalmic setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1–3 years of ophthalmic clinical experience.
• Medical Assistant designation and/or Medical Scribe certification preferred.
• Knowledge of ophthalmic terminology and equipment.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Document patient findings during eye examinations in the EHR.
• Assist in exam room and support efficient patient flow.
• Take dictation and record doctor instructions accurately.
• Prepare examination rooms with medications, forms, and educational materials.
• Coordinate testing with technicians and relay results.
