Vision Innovation Partners is seeking an Ophthalmic Scribe to support our ophthalmology team in Frederick, MD. You will assist physicians by documenting patient visits, chief complaints, and ocular findings using medical terminology to ensure efficient clinical workflow.

The role emphasizes accurate real-time documentation, patient education, and coordination of referrals, with on-the-job training available for those new to ophthalmology.

Qualifications

• Attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
• Maintain confidentiality of patient and company information.
• Proficiency in MS Office.
• One year ophthalmic experience or on-the-job training.
• Scribe experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients and establish rapport; document chief complaint, history, and ocular findings.
• Document medical visits and procedures in real time.
• Prepare referral letters and coordinate referrals.
• Explain tests to patients and provide education on risks/benefits.
• Educate patients on medications and post-operative instructions.
• Follow all safety procedures.
