Job summary

Midwest Vision Partners is seeking an Ophthalmic Scribe to work alongside physicians, documenting patient workups and assisting with in-office procedures in a fast-paced ophthalmology setting.

You will shadow physicians, manage charting, and ensure accurate ophthalmic records while maintaining HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality. This is an on-site position with a supportive team and opportunities to grow.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Valid driver's license and ability to drive a motor vehicle.
• Efficient computer skills and ability to type 40+ words per minute.

Responsibilities

• Bring patients to and from exam rooms.
• Document patient work ups and OD/MD notes in EMR with detail.
• Complete encounter forms based on diagnosis.
• Apply eye drops for anesthesia, dilation, or meds as ordered.
• Provide chair-side assistance and assist physician.
• Review care instructions with patients.
