Job summary

UTHealth Houston is seeking a Full-Time Ophthalmic Imaging Technician to perform diagnostic imaging including OCT, fundus photography and visual field testing in a fast-paced ophthalmology clinic in Houston. You will work with physicians to capture high-quality images, upload to the EMR, and assist with Retina Conferences and clinical exhibits.

The role emphasizes accurate imaging and patient care with opportunities to expand proficiency in multiple ophthalmic modalities.

Qualifications

• Minimum education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
• One year of related experience required.
• Completion of an accredited ophthalmology program may substitute for the required experience.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate patient scheduling for diagnostic photography and angiography of the eye and maintain patient records.
• Perform ophthalmic imaging, visual fields, topography, ultrasonography, keratometry and other designated tests; upload images to the EMR for review.
• Prepare photographic material for Retina Conferences and ophthalmic exhibits as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
