Job summary

Houston Eye Associates in League City, TX seeks a Diagnostic Technician to perform ophthalmic diagnostic tests under the direction of an ophthalmologist. The role collaborates with the Diagnostics team to serve a wide range of patients and physicians.

Responsibilities include operating visual testing devices, OCT, corneal topography, IOL Master/Lenstar, pachymetry, specular microscopy, and photos for documentation. Requires maintaining exam rooms and HIPAA compliance.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required or must be obtained within 6 months of hire date.
• 1–2 years of work experience performing diagnostics testing for an Ophthalmologist.
• Must be available Tuesday through Thursday, 7:45am–4:45pm.

Responsibilities

• Performs a variety of diagnostic procedures under ophthalmologist orders.
• Maintains cleanliness of diagnostic rooms and equipment.
• Advises Director of any equipment problems.
• Ensures HIPAA compliance and participates in continuing education.
• Other duties as assigned.
