Join the UTHealth Department of Ophthalmology as a Full-Time Ophthalmic Imaging Technician and play a vital role in delivering exceptional eye care to patients throughout the Houston community. In this hands-on position, you will perform a variety of advanced ophthalmic diagnostic imaging procedures, including visual field testing, optical coherence tomography (OCT), fundus photography, cataract surgery measurements, and ocular ultrasounds. Working alongside a team of dedicated ophthalmologists and healthcare professionals, you will help provide the critical diagnostic information needed to support accurate diagnoses, treatment planning, and outstanding patient outcomes in a dynamic and patient-centered clinical environment.

The Ophthalmic Imaging Technician assists physicians providing patient care by performing diagnostic digital images and/or scans on patients with a variety of eye conditions.
Minimum Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required Minimum Experience: 1 year of related experience required Completion of an accredited program in ophthalmology may substitute for the required experience. Physical Requirements: Exerts up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 20 pounds frequently and/or up to 10 pounds constantly to move objects. Security Sensitive: This position is a security-sensitive position pursuant to Texas Education Code
