Job summary

Retina Consultants of Texas, based in San Antonio, is seeking an Ophthalmic Photographer to join our retina-focused team. You will capture fundus, anterior segment and external images as ordered by eye care providers while maintaining patient flow in a high-volume practice.

Qualifications

• Two to three years of ophthalmic photography and digital imaging experience.
• CRA and JCAHPO certification preferred.
• CPR certification required.

Responsibilities

• Performs fundus, anterior segment and external photography as ordered by the eye care provider.
• Performs intravenous fluorescein angiographies and/or indocyanine green angiographies as ordered by the eye care provider.
• Performs scanning computerized ophthalmic diagnostic imaging (i.e. OCT, HRT) as ordered by the eye care provider.
• Obtains informed consent form as it applies to angiographies.
• Processes film; mounts and labels slides; maintains film log and/or back ups of digital database regularly.
• Maintains camera(s), related equipment and inventory of supplies.
• Maintains all patient-related records as they pertain to imaging systems.
• Maintains records of work performed.
• Obtains images for physician presentations as necessary.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
