Job summary

Bay Area Retina Associates in Pleasanton, CA seeks an Ophthalmic Photographer I to support daily clinic flow, photographing patient eyes and assisting staff and doctors. You will help with rooming, maintain equipment, and coordinate with Practice Leads to meet goals.

The role involves performing OCT, FAF, Fluorescein Angiography, fundus photography, image management, and EMR documentation while ensuring HIPAA privacy and data integrity across systems.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Certified Medical Assistant preferred.
• 1 year of experience in a Medical Office, Hospital or Healthcare setting.
• 1 year of Retina/Ophthalmology/Photography preferred.
• Some travel between practices may be required.

Responsibilities

• Perform OCT, FAF, Fluorescein Angiography, and Fundus Photography on various devices.
• Maintain photography supplies, cameras, and equipment.
• Image storage, labeling, archiving, and retrieval; assist physician review.
• Room patients, obtain consents, and prepare exam rooms.
• Document results in EMR and communicate with staff and physicians.
• Ensure HIPAA compliance and privacy guidelines in EMR/PM systems.
