Job summary

Associated Retinal Consultants is seeking an Ophthalmic Photographer to join the Ophthalmology team. You will perform retinal photography, OCT, and angiography, contributing high-quality images to document患者 pathology and support ophthalmologists during patient visits.

The role requires strong photography skills, attention to detail, and proficiency with EMR systems. Certification in photography services is encouraged, and flexibility to travel between locations is expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• COA/COT certification preferred.
• Background check required.
• Proof of identity and right to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Perform color stereo retinal photography and IV angiography; assist with dye administration.
• External ocular photography and OCT with speed and accuracy; assist physicians as needed.
• Maintain familiarity with ophthalmic terminology; use EMR and may scribe for physicians.
• Review patient history including medications and allergies and document findings.
• Identify patient concerns and escalate to the Office Coordinator or Physician as appropriate.
• Measure and record visual acuity and perform preliminary refraction as needed.
• Measure intraocular pressures and assess pupillary response.
• Conduct basic visual field testing and provide patient education as directed by physician.
• Prepare patients for treatments and procedures; record vitals and assist with dressings and eye patches.
• Keep rooms clean and stocked; manage equipment and supplies; participate in certification for photography services.
• Travel to other locations as assigned; provide consistent patient service.
