Marion Eye Centers Ltd in Crabondale is seeking a Front Desk Receptionist to be the first point of contact for patients. You will greet guests, check in/out, schedule appointments, verify insurance, collect payments, and support clinical and optical teams.

Qualifikationen

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Medical office/front desk experience preferred; ophthalmology/optometry a plus.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and multitasking in a fast-paced setting.
• Basic computer skills; experience with EHR systems preferred.

Aufgaben

• Greet patients and visitors in a courteous, professional manner.
• Check patients in and out, confirm appointments, and update demographics/insurance information in the practice management system.
• Schedule, reschedule, and confirm patient appointments for exams, procedures, and optical services.
• Verify insurance eligibility and obtain authorizations as needed.
• Collect co-pays, balances, and other payments; issue receipts and maintain accurate cash logs.
• Answer and route incoming phone calls; take detailed messages and ensure prompt follow-up.
• Maintain confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA and Marion Eye Center policies.
• Assist with scanning, filing, and maintaining patient records.
• Support doctors, technicians, and optical staff with patient flow to ensure an efficient schedule.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and professional reception area.
