Job summary

Alcon is seeking a Clinical Applications Specialist to train surgeons and teams in the Northern Virginia/DC area, delivering expert clinical education on cataract, refractive, and glaucoma devices to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

You will support digital health offerings, certify on products annually, collaborate with Sales, Service, IT and R&D, and track training impact using customer feedback and SPS scores in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent years of related experience.
• Fluent written and spoken English.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Train surgeons and staff on Alcon products in-person and virtually.
• Document training per work instructions to move technology through revenue stages.
• Provide ongoing clinical support to embed Alcon technology and improve patient outcomes.
• Present complex topics to ophthalmic surgeons using innovative tech.
• Coordinate with Digital Health offerings and integrate with cloud/DICOM platforms.
• Maintain SPS-based training effectiveness through feedback and reporting.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams for new installations and support.
• Mentor new CAS associates and align training with business goals.
