Job summary

Socket.dev is seeking a Back Office Technician to support ophthalmic care across clinics. You will prepare patients, perform refractions, VA, IOP, fundus photos, VF, FA/ICG procedures, administer meds, maintain exam rooms, and document exam notes in CareCoud/EMR.

This role requires a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to travel between clinics. Experience in ophthalmic settings and certification are preferred, with strong teamwork and communication skills a

Qualifications

• High School education or GED is required.
• Travel to other clinics as assigned may be required.
• Experience in ophthalmic or optometric settings is desirable.
• Certified Ophthalmic Technician or Assistant is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for examination and assist doctors.
• Perform refractions and basic Visual Acuity assessments.
• Conduct IOP tests, fundus photography, VF, FA and ICG procedures.
• Administer topical medications and dilation as needed.
• Maintain clean, stocked exam rooms and EMR documentation in CareCoud.
