Job summary

Socket.dev is seeking a Back Office Technician (Floater) to support patient care across multiple clinics in the Riverside region. The role prepares patients, assists clinicians, and maintains records, equipment, and a clean exam room.

You will travel between clinics, perform refractions, VA, IOP, fundus photos, and other ophthalmic tasks while ensuring HIPAA compliance and high service standards.

Qualifications

• High school education or GED equivalent required.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (oral and written).
• Team player with customer service focus.
• Detail oriented, organized, and able to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficient in Word and Excel; familiar with standard office equipment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for treatment and assist ophthalmic doctors.
• Travel between clinics within the assigned region to support patient care.
• Document patient information and histories; maintain accurate records.
• Perform refractions, visual acuity, IOP tests, fundus photos, and visual field tests.
• Administer ophthalmic medications and ensure compliance with OSHA, HIPAA, and other regulations.
