Job summary

Socket.dev is seeking an Ophthalmic Technician (Certified or Non-Certified) to support providers in exam prep, testing, and minor procedures. You will prepare patients, perform routine vision screening, manage instruments, and assist physicians during procedures.

Responsibilities include gathering patient history, recording data in EMR, and maintaining confidentiality while supporting a high standard of patient care across our eye care network.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 1 year experience in ophthalmology preferred.
• Certified Ophthalmic Technician (COT) preferred.
• Strong communication and confidentiality skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for examination and testing.
• Perform basic ophthalmic testing and history collection.
• Maintain exam rooms and sterilize instruments.
• Assist physicians during minor procedures.
• Document patient information in EMR per standards.
