Job summary

Vision Innovation Partners in Utah seeks an Ophthalmic Associate to support providers with diagnostic and treatment tasks and patient care. On-the-job training is provided for candidates pursuing a career path as an ophthalmic technician or scribe.

You'll take patient histories, perform visual tests and measurements, assist with eye drops and medications, manage inventory, and help ensure timely, compassionate eye care for every patient.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED certificate.
• Proficient with MS Office tools (Outlook, Excel, Word).

Responsibilities

• Take medical histories and verify information
• Perform visual function and diagnostic tests, such as applanation tonometry, refraction, and retinoscopy
• Utilize tools such as a Humphrey field analyzer and OCT to take eye measurements
• Inform the ophthalmologist about changes to a patient's visual acuity and other vision issues
• Dilate eyes to prepare patients for their eye exam
• Explain how to properly use eye drops or other medications
• Assist with inventory management
• Traveling to Scranton from Clarks Summit is a MUST

We are seeking an Ophthalmic Associate to join our patient care team. Our ideal candidate passion for healthcare and learning. We are willing to provide on-the-job training and experience to the right candidate as they work towards a career path of an ophthalmic technician or scribe. In this role, your primary tasks are to assist the providers with diagnostic and treatment-oriented procedures and administrative tasks.
