Job summary

Vision Innovation Partners is seeking an Ophthalmic Associate to join our patient care team. You will assist providers with diagnostic and treatment-oriented procedures and handle related administrative tasks, with on-the-job training available.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, and proficiency with MS Office. You will perform history taking, eye measurements, patient prep, and help with inventory and patient education, contributing to excellent patient outcomes.

Qualifications

  • Proficient with MS Office (Outlook, Excel, Word).
  • Willingness to learn and on-the-job training available.

Responsibilities

  • Take medical histories and verify information
  • Perform visual function and diagnostic tests, such as applanation tonometry, refraction, and retinoscopy
  • Utilize tools such as a Humphrey field analyzer and OCT to take eye measurements
  • Inform the ophthalmologist about changes to a patient's visual acuity and other vision issues
  • Dilate eyes to prepare patients for their eye exam
  • Explain how to properly use eye drops or other medications
  • Explain how to properly use contact lenses
  • Assist with inventory management

We are seeking an Ophthalmic Associate to join our patient care team. Our ideal candidate passion for healthcare and learning. We are willing to provide on-the-job training and experience to the right candidate as they work towards a career path of an ophthalmic technician or scribe. In this role, your primary tasks are to assist the providers with diagnostic and treatment-oriented procedures and administrative tasks.

Responsibilities

What You Will Do:

  • Take medical histories and verify information

Qualifications

$18- 20 an hour

Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including location, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, such as, but not limited to full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility, annual educational reimbursement, and various paid time off benefits, such as PTO). Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
