Job summary

Vision Innovation Partners seeks an Ophthalmic Associate to support providers with diagnostic and treatment-oriented procedures and related administrative tasks in a patient-focused environment.

You will assist with histories, testing, and eye care education, while contributing to inventory and daily front-office duties. Training is provided to guide career growth in ophthalmic care.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Proficient with MS Office tools (Outlook, Excel, Word).
• Willing to train and grow in ophthalmic care.

Responsibilities

• Take medical histories and verify information.
• Perform visual tests and diagnostic procedures.
• Inform ophthalmologist about changes in vision.
• Dilate eyes in preparation for exams.

We are seeking an Ophthalmic Associate to join our patient care team. Our ideal candidate passion for healthcare and learning. We are willing to provide on-the-job training and experience to the right candidate as they work towards a career path of an ophthalmic technician or scribe. In this role, your primary tasks are to assist the providers with diagnostic and treatment-oriented procedures and administrative tasks.

Responsibilities

What You Will Do:

• Take medical histories and verify information
• Perform visual function and diagnostic tests, such as applanation tonometry, refraction, and retinoscopy
• Utilize tools such as a Humphrey field analyzer and OCT to take eye measurements
• Inform the ophthalmologist about changes to a patient's visual acuity and other vision issues
• Dilate eyes to prepare patients for their eye exam
• Explain how to properly use eye drops or other medications
• Explain how to properly use contact lenses
• Assist with inventory management

Qualifications

$18- 20 an hour

Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including location, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, such as, but not limited to full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility, annual educational reimbursement, and various paid time off benefits, such as PTO).
