Job summary

Vision Innovation Partners is seeking an Ophthalmic Associate to support our patient care team. This position involves assisting providers with diagnostic and treatment procedures and handling administrative tasks, with on-the-job training offered.

The role requires traveling from Clarks Summit to Scranton and working alongside ophthalmic professionals to ensure excellent patient outcomes. A high school diploma or GED and proficiency with MS Office are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED certificate.
• Proficient with MS Office tools (Outlook, Excel, Word).

Responsibilities

• Take medical histories and verify information
• Perform visual function and diagnostic tests, such as applanation tonometry, refraction, and retinoscopy
• Utilize tools such as a Humphrey field analyzer and OCT to take eye measurements
• Inform the ophthalmologist about changes to a patient's visual acuity and other vision issues
• Dilate eyes to prepare patients for their eye exam
• Explain how to properly use eye drops or other medications
• Assist with inventory management
• Traveling to Scranton from Clarks Summit is a MUST
