Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or GED; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Experience: 0–2 years ophthalmic assistant; 2+ years preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review patient charts for completeness and accuracy.
• Record ocular and systemic history and visual acuity.
• Perform tests such as OCT, automated visual fields, photography, pachymetry, biometry.
• Conduct lensometry, refractometry, slit lamp exams and basic anterior segment assessment.
• Assist physician during exams and enter data in EMR or paper charts.
• Administer topical medications and ensure informed consent.
