Job summary

Charlotte Eye Ear Nose And Throat Associates Pa (CEENTA) seeks an Ophthalmic Assistant to support providers in delivering high‑quality eye care. You will perform clinical testing, help with exams and procedures, and keep busy ophthalmic clinics running smoothly.

Responsibilities include patient intake, comprehensive testing, documentation in the EHR, assisting with procedures, and travel between CEENTA sites as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 6–12 months exp in ophthalmology or optometry preferred (not mandatory).
• Willingness to travel between CEENTA sites as needed.

Responsibilities

• Greet, room, and perform patient intake and vision history.
• Document medical history, chief complaint, HPI, vitals and meds in EHR.
• Perform comprehensive ophthalmic workups and tests (VA, fields, tonometry, keratometry, etc.).
• Assist providers with exams, treatments and in‑office procedures; administer meds.
• Serve as ascribe when needed and ensure timely documentation.
• Coordinate scheduling of appointments, procedures, and surgeries.
