Job summary

Charlotte Eye Ear Nose And Throat Associates Pa is seeking a compassionate Ophthalmic Assistant to support our Providers in delivering high-quality patient care. You will perform clinical testing, assist with exams and procedures, and help keep our busy ophthalmic clinics running smoothly.

You’ll greet patients, take histories, document in the EHR, schedule visits, and ensure rooms are prepared. The ideal candidate has 6 months to 1 year in ophthalmology, a HS diploma, and ICA-accredited

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• 6 months to 1 year of ophthalmology or optometry experience preferred.
• ICA-accredited training or IJCAHPO/AAO program is desired.
• COA or COT certification is a plus.
• Willingness to travel between CEENTA locations as needed.

Responsibilities

• Greet, room, and perform patient intake and history documentation.
• Conduct comprehensive ophthalmic testing and measurements.
• Assist Providers with exams, treatments, and in-office procedures.
• Serve as a scribe and document findings in the EHR.
• Schedule appointments and procedures; manage clinic calendars.
• Prepare and sterilize rooms; maintain OSHA standards.
• Maintain supply inventory and place orders when needed.
• Support onboarding and training of new staff.
• Travel to other CEENTA locations as required.
