The position emphasizes developing through employer-sponsored training with a goal to certification as a Certified Ophthalmic Assistant within 24 months, while maintaining accuracy and confidentiality in patient care.

Qualifications

• Entry level ophthalmic assistant training provided.
• 0-1 year ophthalmic assistant experience; training provided.
• Strong math and science skills with data-entry ability and confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Assist physician in gathering patient data and maintaining a clinical environment.
• Perform visual acuity, visual field testing, lensometry, auto refractometry, refraction, and tonometry.
• Maintain patient medical records and participate in patient care within a clinical setting.
