Ophthalmic Consultants of Boston, Inc. is seeking an Ophthalmic Assistant to join our clinical team in Boston, MA. This entry-level role involves assisting physicians, performing basic ophthalmic tests, and maintaining patient records.

Training is provided with the goal of certification by JCAHPO within 24 months of hire. The position offers full-time hours (30-40 hours) with no nights or weekends, and travel to other nearby offices is possible.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 0–1 years of ophthalmic assistant experience or training preferred.
• Strong math and science skills; proficient data entry and computer skills.

Responsabilités

• Assist physician in gathering patient data and maintaining clinical environment.
• Conduct visual acuity testing, visual field testing, lensometry, auto refractometry, refraction, pupil assessment, extraocular motility, tonometry and related ophthalmic testing.
• Maintain patient records and participate in ongoing training to become a certified ophthalmic assistant.
