Job summary

Comprehensive EyeCare Partners is seeking an Ophthalmic Assistant to support ophthalmologists in patient care and clinic operations. The role involves clinical testing, patient education, and coordination of daily workflows.

Work schedule is Monday to Friday, 7:20 AM to 4:00 PM. Ideal candidates have at least one year in a customer-facing role and proficiency with MS Word, Outlook, and Excel, with a high school diploma or GED.

Qualifications

• 1 year of experience in a customer-facing role is preferred.
• Medical-related experience is preferred.
• Proficiency with MS Word, Outlook, and Excel is required.

Responsibilities

• Assist ophthalmologists with specialized eye exam testing and patient flow management.
• Perform diagnostic testing such as Visual Field, OCT, and Corneal topography.
• Provide phone support for prescription refills as authorized by the physician.
• Educate patients on medication administration and pre-/post-operative instructions.
• Adhere to HIPAA and maintain patient confidentiality.
• Assist with opening and closing duties.
• Other duties as assigned.
