Surgery Partners is hiring an Ophthalmic Assistant to support physicians and clinical staff in a fast-paced ophthalmology practice. You will obtain patient histories, perform diagnostic testing, document findings, and help with procedures to ensure excellent patient care and clear post-operative instructions.

The role emphasizes accuracy, HIPAA-compliant patient care, and collaboration with a team in a busy clinic. Demonstrated ophthalmic testing skills and strong communication are valued.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 1 year of medical/ophthalmic experience preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency with EMR systems and basic computer applications.
• Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and patient privacy requirements.

Responsabilités

• Obtain and document accurate patient histories.
• Perform lensometry and visual acuity testing.
• Conduct ophthalmic diagnostic testing (HVF, HRT, IOLMaster, etc.).
• Document physician findings and post-operative instructions in the EMR.
• Assist with ophthalmic procedures and maintain instrument sterilization.
