American Vision Partners is seeking an Ophthalmic Assistant to prepare patients for exams, collect histories, and support clinicians with diagnostic testing in a fast-paced ophthalmology setting.

You’ll perform acuity tests, auto-refraction, tonometry, keratometry, and assist in minor procedures while ensuring exceptional patient care and accurate EHR documentation. Monday through Friday schedule with emphasis on teamwork and professional growth.

Qualifikationen

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• At least 1 year of Ophthalmology experience preferred.
• COA or COT certification is a plus.
• Detail oriented with ability to multi-task in a fast-paced clinic.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Flexible schedule, Monday–Friday.

Aufgaben

• Welcomes patients and maintains a warm, professional atmosphere.
• Supports doctors to maintain clinic patient flow.
• Obtains patient histories in the EHR during intake.
• Performs tests: visual acuity, auto-refraction, tonometry, keratometry.
• Administers eye drops for dilation and conducts exams as needed.
• Assists in minor procedures and educates patients.
