Qualifications

• Education: High School Graduate or GED; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• OA1 Experience: 0-2 years ophthalmic assistant experience.
• OAII Experience: 2+ years ophthalmic assistant experience.

Responsibilities

• Review patient charts for completeness and accuracy.
• Record ocular and systemic history and visual acuity.
• Perform tests required by exam, including OCT, visual fields, photography, pachymetry, biometry.
• Conduct slit-lamp exam with tonometry and anterior chamber assessment.
• Assist physician as scribe and enter data into EMR or paper charts.
• Administer topical ophthalmic or oral medications.
• Ensure procedures, consent, and education meet requirements.
• Maintain patient flow and exam room cleanliness.
• Follow practice procedures and report potential errors.
