Surgery Partners, Inc is seeking an Ophthalmic Assistant to support physicians and clinical staff in a fast-paced ophthalmology practice. You will collect patient histories, perform diagnostic testing, and document findings in the EMR, while ensuring patients receive clear post-operative instructions and compassionate care.

Responsibilities include handling lensometry, visual acuity testing, tonometry, and assisting with procedures, all while maintaining instrument sterility and HIPAA

Qualificações

• Required: High School Diploma or GED with strong communication and attention to detail.
• Preferred: Associate degree or college coursework; JCAHPO and CPR certifications.
• Experience in ophthalmic settings or with ophthalmic testing is advantageous.
• Proficiency with EMR and basic computer applications is expected.

Responsabilidades

• Obtain and document accurate patient histories.
• Perform lensometry and visual acuity testing.
• Conduct ophthalmic diagnostic testing (HVF, HRT, IOLMaster, basic fundus photography).
• Conduct ocular measurements (color vision, BAT, Schirmer, Amsler grid).
• Maintain, clean, and sterilize instruments; assist physicians with procedures.
• Document findings and care plans in the EMR; provide post-operative instructions.
• Ensure HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality; support positive patient experience.
