Job summary

Surgery Partners Brand is hiring an Ophthalmic Assistant/Tech to support physicians with data collection and patient care, ensuring accurate documentation and smooth clinic flow.

Responsibilities include performing lensometry, visual fields, OCT/photography, tonometry, pachymetry, and assisting with triage and administrative duties to keep the clinic running efficiently. A high school diploma plus 2+ years ophthalmic office experience is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Two years minimum experience in an ophthalmic office.
• Excellent communication and patient-care skills.
• Empathetic, patient-centered approach and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Interacts with patients professionally and respectfully.
• Obtains patient history including chief complaint and ocular/general history.
• Performs documentation and measurements like lensometry, visual fields, OCT/photography, tonometry, pachymetry, and refraction.
• Maintains instrument function with routine checks and coordinate repairs as needed.
• Assists with triage, patient flow, and escorting patients between rooms and checkout.
• Maintains stock and cleanliness of exam lanes and supports administrative tasks.
